I'm a PhD psychologist, a speaker on positive psychology, optimism, humor, and change leadership, and author of "The Optimism Advantage," "They Shoot Managers Don't They?" "Leadership Truths One Story at a Time," "Making Humor Work," and "50 Tips for Speaking Like a Pro." I've conducted practical programs for companies such as IBM, 3M, NASA, Nintendo, Sony, Starbucks, Wal-Mart, and hundreds of hospitals, universities, and associations. I am one of seven presenters who have been designated a "Distinguished Faculty" by the Institute for Management Studies (IMS) based in Reno, NV. I received The National Speakers Association's Cavett Award, the association's most cherished award presented annually to the member whose accomplishments over the years have reflected outstanding credit, respect, honor and admiration in the association and the speaking profession.
